W. Lourene Vaden, age 95, of Ashland City, Tennessee, was called to be with the Lord on December 7, 2016, at Trevecca Long Term Health Care Facility in Nashville. Church affiliation was with Lawrenceville First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and First Baptist Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. She was a retired supervisor from Bell South with 28 years service. Born in Monterey, Tennessee, to Ernest and Maggie England; she was the oldest of five children which were her sister Christine Chase and brothers Billy, Frank, and Harold. All of which are deceased. Marriage to James C. Vaden, deceased, was blessed with three children: Joyce Ann (deceased) with husband Robert, James Robert with wife Nancy, and Mary Kathryn with husband Ron. Family grew to include grandchildren, Ann Michelle, deceased, Jackie Keltner with husband Clay, Lisa Hudgins with husband Terry, Danny Vaden with wife Tonya, Dustin Gray with wife Dana, Kristin Anders with husband Lucas, Ryan Cundall with wife Stephanie, Jeff Cundall with wife Ali, and fifteen great grandchildren. Friends will be welcomed to celebrate her life at Goff Funeral Home, 205 East Cleveland Avenue, Monterey, Tennessee, with visitation on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Hudgins officiating and concluding with burial at Welch Memorial Cemetery, Monterey, Tennessee. Mrs. Parks Passed Away Peacefully On Sunday, October 16, 2016, At The Arboretum At Heritage Greens In Greensboro, North Carolina. After Completing High School, She Earned Her Bachelors Degree From Wilson College In Pennsylvania. She Was Happily Married To Claude A. Parks, Known By His Friends And Family As "Stack", For 46 Years Until His Death On July 10, 1996. As A Homemaker, Her Life Was Centered Upon Her Family. She Was A Loving And Caring Mother, Grandmother And Great Grandmother Who Will Be Deeply Missed By Those Who Cherished Her. She Was Survived By, 2 Daughters And Sons-In-Law, Sarah P. And Christopher Hoff Of Greensboro, NC, Cornelia B. And Ab Jones Of Roanoke, VA; 5 Grandchildren, Sharon Gillman, Brian Hoff And Wife Angie, Erin Myers And Husband Jason, Brett Jones, Meredith Slocum And Husband Josh; 9 Great Grandchildren, Joseph, Katie, Raegan, Carter, Thomas, Micah, Addison, Blake And Chandler; Brother And Sister-In-Law, Stephen And Julia Boreman; And Several Nieces And Nephews. Edward Cota, Age 74, Of Crawford, Tennessee, Passed Away On Friday, October 7, 2016, At His Home. Mr. Cota Was Born On September 19, 1942, In Springfield, Massachusetts. Mr. Cota Was A Truck Driver, An Amateur Boxer, Catholic In Faith, And Was A United States Army Veteran. He Was Of Indian Status And Citizenship Sovereign Abenaki Nation Republic Of Missisquoi. He Was Survived By, 2 Step Daughters, Peggy And Justin Haines Of Pennsylvania, Conni And Jason Erdly Of Hanging Limb, TN; 2 Grandchildren; And Sister, Donna Richbrug Of Massachusetts. She Loved To Read Mysteries And Law And Was A "Speed Reader". She Was A Huge Sports Fan Of All Sports Especially Football And Basketball.
